Pear shaped male? How to lose weight around hip/butt area?

Im 5′6 fluctuation between 138-141 pounds. My lower body is so disproportionate with my upper body is sticks out. My arms are really skinny, my stomach is entirely flat but all my fat goes towards my lower body (hip, thigh, butt). If i run 20-25 minutes a day 2-3 miles, will i see results? i’ve already been doing it for a week but so far, ive GAINED 2 pounds?? ive drank 4-5 glasses of water every day also so im guessing water weight… how long do you think i can accomplish this? Will losing 10 pounds do the trick?

Hey, pal. I am also a pear-shaped male.

When I was 14, I was 5′7” and weighed 105 lbs. I had a normal face, a super-skinny upper body and a normal lower body.

The first thing I did to get bigger was eat a ton of food. However, I did no exercise and not surprisingly all the fat I gained went to my thighs and butt. My calves weren’t fat but well-developed.

FOLLOW ALL THIS ADVICE

Don’t try losing any weight unless you want to look like a bag of bones. Start eating more. Avoid junk food and soda. If you have to eat junk food, don’t eat worthless crap like candy, but at least something that can provide a full meal like a cheeseburger. Anyways, drink fruit juices, eat 2-3 servings of meat per day, and a lot of carbohydrates (potatoes, bread, rice, etc). And one thing you cannot avoid is to DRINK MILK. I drank three glasses per day.

Next, you need a proper weightlifting routine that targets your entire body.
It is very important that you don’t neglect any muscles in your upper body otherwise they just won’t grow at all. You should also work your lower body to release testosterone and HGH but I never really increased poundage on leg exercises.
DON’T do worthless isolation exercises. And don’t do more than one exercise for a single muscle. You’re just wasting your time. Doing 30lb lateral raises won’t get you broad shoulders.

This is the routine I used.

MONDAY 90 sec rest in between each set
Military Press 8-8-8
Bench Press 8-8-8
Jump Squat 20-20
Calf Raises 20-20
Tricep Pushups 10-10

WEDNESDAY
Bicep Curls 10-10
Bent-over Row 8-8-8
Shrugs 20-20
Wrist Curl 8-8-8
Reverse Wrist Curl 8-8-8

On Friday, do the first set, then two days later the second one. Keep on repeating.
Gradually increase poundage and you will see results. No workout should last longer than 45 minutes.
Drink plenty of water!

Today I am 5′11 and weigh 180 pounds. I have much better proportions.

I lost 40 pounds in 5 months
here some tips, this is what i do :):
-make suure you eat a healthy full breakfast will a lot of fiber i recommend( multigrain cheerios mixed with bran flakes)
-Eat smaller portions but more frequently throughout the day for example instead of three large meals eat 6 smaller ones ( this will speed up your metabolism by a lot)
-for snacks eat fruits, vegies and almonds ( not too many almonds) almonds can help you loose weight but too many can do the opposite.
-walk for 30 min a day then do some type of cardiovascular for 30 min
-drink TUNS of water
-drink TUNS of green tea
-don’t drink juice anymore, (a glass of juice is like a full meal)
- do NOT starve yourself, this will lead to overeating and trust me it will. plus if your body is unhealthy than it cannot loose weight properly
-instead of sliced bread eat 100% whole wheat pita pockets ( i like to add some turkey slices, tomatoes , hot peppers lettuce ext.. and grill it all together ) i eat half a pita pocket per meal

Little Tricks To Help You Lose Weight Fast

Loosing weight fast is always an unhealthy thing.

The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That’s an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn’t that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?
