1. Keep track of your progress.
2. Set multiple short-term goals instead of one long-term goal.
3. Include variety. Experiment with different forms of cardio and foods.
4. Tell people you’re trying to lose weight.
5. Reward yourself after you accomplish one of the short-term goals.
6. If you ever lose motivation, take a minute to visualize the end result.

@PJgetsFit you should eat a meal an hour or more before you exercise. a snack like some fruit or granola or whatever is ok right before a workout.

@madwithpower unless you were super obese, 1 lb a day isn’t really a good thing. losing weight too fast usually means you’re doing something harmful to yourself, like not eating enough. but if you were like 100+ lbs overweight then it makes sense.

I really agree with your points! These are the same things psychologists say too, when it comes to staying motivated. For me, I used to not know whether I was doing things right, until I got an iPhone and downloaded MyFitnessPal. It’s an automatic calorie diary

Ive been trying to …
Ive been trying to lose weight in many different ways (weight lifting, dieting, cardio, sports, and fasting) for almost 4 months now and have only lost 5lbs. im 18, weigh 272lbs and am 6 feet tall. ive literally tried everything and nothing seems to work and its really starting to get annoying. if you got any tips that would be greatly appreciated.
