how long do it take 2 lose weight if u starve yourself?

i need 2 lose weight dieting and exercise is not helping so starving myself is the only thing that probably can help..how long does it take to lose weight if i starve myself? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

Serious answer. DON’T DO IT. It is not worth it. My daughter is anorexic because she stopped eating. She now can not start eating again! She has been to the Emergency room more times than I can count. She has had to have IV’s on a regular basis to rehydrate because her body won’t hold fluids. She currently has the shingles because her immune system is so weak. Her friend got the chicken pox and she had already had them, but because her immune system is so bad, she now has the shingles.

She is not allowed to exercise at all because she could go into a coma and die. She bruises easily and looks like death. If she can not get herself back to eating more normally, she will die. Quitting eating messes with your brain and eventually you will not be able to control it. It will control you! Her body is shutting down and she is dying. Don’t do this to yourself.

Starving yourself won’t work because your body will stop burning fat to save itself from starvation. Eating right and exercise IS the only way to lose weight. So you must not be doing it right or often enough.

You loose weight fast but because you are starving yourself you end up with the desire to eat the foods you didn’t eat and therefore a diet like that doesn’t work.

I did that for years and wondered why i didn’t lose weight. Doing a diet like that forces you to binge.

Starving yourself is not the answer. A combination of dieting and exercise is what you need. Just because you are doing that right now and it isn’t working means you’re doing something wrong. You have to make sure that you’re eating the right foods and not the junk ones. Vegetables, lean meats, some dairy once in a while. Mostly nonfat or low fat stuff. Protein is also good. Try to cut out some of the carbs too. You also have to make sure that you are doing the proper exercises in order to lose weight. You should probably be doing a good amount of cardio.

It will take you even longer starving yourself.
Your body will start feeding off your muscle, then fat, trying to protect your vital organs.
People think loosing weight is a quick thing to do. Not real smart starving yourself. Best think again doing this.

IT may be that you have not yet found the diet and exercise program that is just right for you. If what you are doing is not working, then try something else. Try something sustainable. Something that will last. It may be that you need to eat smaller portions (2.0 oz ) more often (every 2 hours).

SERIOUSLY?! You honestly think starving yourself is going to help you? Well, it will… for about a day, then your body will start hoarding all your extra calories– in the form of fat. So I doubt this diet for you will work. Better than starving yourself, keep a food journal… you’ll probably find out why exercise isn’t working in there.

If you are looking to loose weight quickly and keep it stable, you have to balance exercise with a healthy diet. In the long run, developing anorexic habits and then resuming your old diet afterwards, will ony cause you to gian more weight than you already have! This means that one day you may like your figure, but a month later you may swell up like a balloon.

Also, you want to avoid depression, so becareful about your eating habits. A diet consisting of a mixture of fruits and vegetables, will lower your craving for sweets and increase the nutritious value of your meals. Your face will be glowing and your cheeks will be that right shade of red, due to the fact that your skin will be nourished properly.

Make sure that you drink at least one glass of orange juice each morning; this would ensure that you are taking your daily recommended intake of Vitamin C.

You can reduce the amount of calories you intake, and still maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating at least 3 full meals a day. This includes: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For ex.
For Breakfast-A bowl of wheat cerial and milk.
For Lunch-Rice marinated with different vegetables.
For Dinner-A bowl of vegetable meat soup.

If you really feel that you must eat something in between, do not turn to snacks such as chocolate and chips. Eat apples, bannanas, or any other type of fruit. They increase your energy supply without causing you to insistently need more to keep your energy level stable.

Don’t forget that chocolate and sweets give you a boost of energy which does not last, diminishing your energy level after minutes. This is why you always need more of them eventhough you are stuffed!

Also, avoid takeout food which is really greasy. It contains a high calorie intake eventhough it does not satisfy hunger.

During the winter, it’s difficult to excercise outdoors. Try joining a local fitness gym, where you can use tread machines and weights. Who knows, taken yoga classes may help reduce your stress! =)I hope this helps.

it takes like a month,but plz don’t do it it could effect how you think and you might die,wont you rather have lypo-sucktion,or exersice moree or just eat fruits or vegtibles and drink,when i was younger my familywhent broke for a month and there wasnt alote to eat,and i had to starve ,and i passed out every mi.dont do it.

You can only go so long without eating.
The only thing you can do is have a balanced diet
[no junk food] and excerise.

Take this diet:
Everyday you should
walk/run 5 miles
do 200 crunches
lift 5 pound weights 50 times on each arm
eat 1,200 calories a day
and at 5pm take a 15 minute walk

and if you continue to starve yourself, your body will only go 2 weeks without food depending on how much you weigh.

The secret to losing weight is to eat every two hours, so you are never hungry. Not big meals, but healthy meals, fresh veggies, is a must, along with exercise. If you starve yourself, your body will turn what you have into fat and keep storing it to use for energy. Then when you do eat, it will turn to fat as fast as you eat it, because your body knows it has to store up some fat to live on, until you eat again.

Starving yourself wont last……obviously youre not eatring the right things or excercizing enough so see a nutricionist. If you starve yourself, you will only go so far and then binge eat…♥
