How I Lose Weight + Food Tips

Here’s the low-down on what I’m doing to lose weight and how it works.

1. Figure out what your “maintain weight” calories are and eat 500 calories LESS than that number every day.

2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 5x/week.

3. Drink water! Divide your weight in half and drink that number in ounces of water every day.

(4. Make healthier choices as you go along and get better at doing steps 1-3.)

FROM THE VIDEO:

The salad is:
1 Bowl of Romaine Lettuce and Spinach
2 Tbsp Light Vinaigrette Dressing
1/2 Tomato, sliced
1/4 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
1/4 Cup Garlic Feta Cheese
= around 110-130 calories :D

YUM!

Green Tea (and similar Asian teas), English Breakfast Tea and Irish Breakfast Tea need no sweetener if you use 1 Tsp of lemon juice instead (0 calories).

Vanilla chai (and decaf vanilla chai), peppermint tea and bangal spice teas all also need no sweeteners or additives of any kind.

Can you give me …
Can you give me some dishes to try when eating out that you may have found to be really healthy. I think I have the eating at home part down but the eating out can be tricky. Some of my favorite restaurants are Applebees, Outback steakhouse, Finleys and Chinese restaurants. Also I am wondering what are your feelings about lean cusine and healthy choice frozen entrees? Do you think they are really as healthy for you as alot of people think? Do you eat them ?

You seem astute and erudite and like you’re in control. I hope that it all works really well for you. I know from experience that it can be very easy to lose control over what you’re doing, but you seem to have started from a position of psychological strength and common sense and be sticking to it. You should be extremely proud of yourself for being a healthy, sensible, personable individual. Best wishes from England.

no sugar, no oil, no butter, no chocolate, no alcohol ( pasta ,rice saturday and sundays..if u want ) and only WATER. this way ulllose weight i promise

ok this is the best …
ok this is the best way to lose weight it always works for me..so losing weight is not a thing you do for a period of time its a habit you need to get to stay that weight or else ull put more weight on..so for breakfeast i eat fruit banana any fruit , lunch vegetables or tuna (canned) and if you want eat boiled vegetables, before 6pm eat anything with fibre tor protein that means, banana tuna or egg whites, and eating this for a week you dont even have to exercise and ull lose weight…

Well just start do 30 minutes on an iliptical go on the penut butter diet thats wat i did and when you get hungry go ahead and eat just small portions and yea drink water

actually, in order …
actually, in order to increase your metabolism, its best to eat more frequently, but IN SMALLER PORTIONS. this means you can have up to 4-6 meals a day, as long as you eat LESS and HEALTHIER. You are right about the water however. Water clears out your system, so drink lots of it. I heard you should have about have your body weight, in ounces, of water a day. This means if you weight 159 pounds, you should drink 79.5 ounces of water per day. Good Luck :)

someone plz help me.
i want to lose weight noe in vacations and idk how to do it.
im eating less and im going to start to exercise.
i weigh 159 pounds im 16 and im tall..i want to lose at least 10 or 20 pounds.
so..im going to eat only 3 meals..but when i get hungry i just have to drink water?..or not eat

If you dont eat at …
If you dont eat at least ever four hours in moderation your body will store fat. Drink Lots and lots of water NO sugary drinks at all , just water. Exercise at leat 30 minute’s a day 5 days a week,more is great but dont do too much as you may over do it. Women loosing weight try to eat upto1500 calaries men 1800

sorry that’s not true. your body will eat muscle not fat if you starve yourself.

thats not …
thats not particularly true, models starve themselves everyday and they get thinner. usually if you skip a meal and your body is really hungry it will eat the fat in your body which is how you get thinner, but i dont sugest doing that.

Something that …
Something that helps me a lot is eating 3 meals a day to keep my metabolism up. If you skip meals, your body will hold on to every single calorie because it goes in to “survival mode”, thinking there won’t be sources of energy for a long time.

(id much rather prefer a regular green tea cuz ive got lots of them in my cabinet)

i’ve always thought about eating a lot of water. but i go to school and i’l be needing to use the bathroom A LOT if i do that, becuase i did it over vacation. and like every single hour i needed to use the bathroom XDD haha.

my sis is only 11 and she weighs 122.2

Thats so awesome that your giving advice and going through it at the same time… I’ve been doing the same… gym 5x a day or at least walking or jogging if im not able to go to the gym… i spend an hour to and hour and a half at the gym, but i take my time… Im diabetic so healthy choices are a must but i do get to eat whatever i want but in moderation…

and by doing so my blood sugars have been great, to the point where sometime i dont even have to take all meds!!! and i make sure to eat 3 times a day with snacks in between meals which keeps me burning fat…
