Rabbit Care - Choosing the Proper Diet for your Rabbit
By
To view the next video in this series click: http://www.monkeysee.com/play/9698 This video will show rabbit care and how to choose the proper diet for a rabbit. As with humans, rabbit diet can easily be the key factor in keeping not only a happy & healthy rabbit, but one that will live longer as well. There are many choices available at stores and vet clinics, but knowing what the contents are of the food you choose will help you make sure that the diet your rabbit receives is correctly aligned with any dietary needs your rabbit might have. Even though your rabbit might prefer some type of foods over another, high sugar and calorie items should be given in moderation.

@bociman1 well, u can give them as a treat, but only once a week (a small piece) or longer. i know that alot of ppl give their pets a treat every day, but 1ce or 2ce a week is better

@bitchbutcher I …
@bitchbutcher I never said rabbits should NEVER get carrots but not too many because of the high sugar content, same with fruits. I should clarify that rabbits can die if feed only carrots. I am a volunteer for a rabbit rescue and have done a lot of research on rabbit nutrition. I’m just saying to give your rabbits food high in sugar in moderation, that’s all.

I know that im just …
I know that im just saying if people have busy everyday life they cant always make sure there rabbit has hay, and rabbits can be fed less because i’ve had an overweight rabbit before and the vet adviced me to give my rabbit less food to eat and it worked my rabbits back to normal size.

rabbits have a …
rabbits have a diffrent digesting system than meat eaters for example. rabbits need to constantly eat. That s why they need to have fresh hay 24/7. so its not quite right to say give your rabbit less to eat. Cut down on pellet. But hay should always be available.

could you pls stop spreading lies? that is not true!
I work in a rabbit shelter for 10 years and work with vets who are specialized on rabbits. so i really should know. And never did a rabbit die from carrots…
Those pellets they sell and all those treats arnt good for your rabbit. The same with fruits. They shouldn’t get too much of that.
