I am sickened by the addictions to crap foods, but if you label them, you would probably have to label everything. I can imagine labeling pantyhose or other lingerie: “Warning: May Cause Boners and Irrational Thinking in Perverted Males”.

@psychetruth The fact is that people don’t have a “decent idea” and what I would term “junk” food would be different to those proposing changes laws to “protect” us from it. The onus is on the presenter of a video to make the facts clear. This video fails on this count also. The most disturbing aspect of this whole video is that it gives a “leg-up” to people currently planning to extend food legislation and huge increases in food taxes. e.g. the proposed EU VAT tax of up to +20%

@psychetruth Discounting the myth of calorific causality in obesity and reminding that the causality lies in insulin stimulation, high calorific foods aren’t nesc. ones which stimulate dopamine receptors. How “calories” alone stimulate D2 receptors wasn’t demonstrated. “Calories” do not stimulate or bind to dopamine receptors. If the study used a multi-factor intervention with a wide range of foods then it is additionally useless and makes a McDonalds connection futile.

@psychetruth Sausage is a heterogeneous processed food with no concrete definition useful for a study. It’s contents vary from nation to nation, market to market and culture to culture. Commonly and esp. in cheap “junk” sausage it contains a high level of wheat used as a filler with a some fat and the minimum meat required by various laws. So far the most probable dopamine hyper-stimulating factor would be the wheat in this unscientific mishmash. But this isn’t made clear either
