I have been on a organic/ eating clean diet, i eat no complex sugars, no perservatives and no processed foods. I do 6 small meals a day and only drink water. I have been wring out hardcore 6 days a week sometimes more going on 3 months! I drink aprotein shake after workout every day. I am taing a good vitamen suplement. I have lost no weight. I only weight train 2/3 days a week and I do at least 30 miles of cardio a week some combination of biking, treadmill, elliptical, and astair master. I just decided to switch it up this week and do a minimum of 30 min interval running and then 15 min. stair master and 15 min bike 4 days a week and then 2/3 days circuit training where i weight lift for a few mins and then run a quarter of a mile and did that for 1.5 hours. I am really annoyed. I keep a journal of my work outs and what i eat. Why am i not seeing any results in my weight. I have lost (last time I checked a week ago 7 inches total on my body in 16 days ) know inches are good ut at this point i should see some downward movement on the scale?!

You seem to be gaining muscle at the same rate you’re losing fat so the # on the scale stays the same but 7 in is a lot of weight loss. So you’re definitely getting smaller..

im 15 and I weight about 195 pounds (i know horrible!), ive recently be going to the gym for a week, using the Various stair master machines for an hour and plan to continue, but i have no idea what to eat to lose weight, can anyone give me tips or any words of advice on weight loss? Ive also been drinking Slim-fast for breakfast every morning. Can anyone also give me some ideas for veggie meals too, thanks!

Dont go into any diets; you are young and that’s not a good thing. if you want to lose weight, excercise( which you are already doing) and try to eat healthy. cut out all the junkfood, eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread. eat fish also; fish has a lot of omega 3’s and that’s really helpful, eat fruits and nuts. especially walnuts those are SUPER healthy. for a good meal steam some veggies some white rice, some salmon( or tilapia, etc.) and a cup of water or unsweetened iced tea. portion sizes are very important; you should only eat something the portion of the palm of your hand. i hope this helps:)

Have to lose 30lbs so I can join the Military and I’m thinking of doing the Master Cleanse for a week to give me a "jump" on the weight loss. I’ve read enough about it that I know not to use it as my ONLY source of weight loss, so I’m thinking a week on it will help me get going.

To continue losing once I’m off the Cleanse, I plan to eat a lean protein/veggie diet of 1200 calories, combined with daily Cardio. Any other tips for post-Cleanse regimen?

Should I eat anything specific for a few days before I start? Also, is it OK to continue with my nightly walking while on this Cleanse, or am I even going to have the energy??

Thanks.

Master Cleanse is a scam.
Your colon does not carry the amount of waste weight that it claims. Anyone who has had a colonoscopy will testify to that.

Follow your diet plans, and drink LOTS of water.
Save your money, the MC won’t make any dramatic difference.

I used to weigh 125 when I was in high school and I’ve put on 25 pounds in five years since then. I do not want to be one of those women who gets fatter as they get older. I’m tall, so it doesn’t look as bad as it would on a shorter person, but 150 is a lot for a woman.

I really haven’t ever dieted or worked out before, so any guidance on what is HEALTHY and would be best is appreciated. I don’t want a quick Master Cleanse fix or something that is unhealthy or just a fad. But about working out - I think I’ll hate it. I’m not athletic (tall and gawky here) and have no rhythm or ability physically, so I’m worried about looking like a dummy at the gym. I really have no idea what would be good/what’s easy to do.

5′11′ at 150 Is just SEXY.
keep it around 150 and you boys will melt for you.
However you should start some form of exersice; whether its jogging, playing sports, swimming, yoga , pilate, squash, tennis, or whatever, choose something that you think you are gonna have fun doing. Doing exercise will make your body produce more endorphines which in turn will make you feel good and elevate your mood.
Also try to replace some of your simple carbs intake with some good carbs. ie, switch your blueberry muffin into raisinbran muffin. Also try to switch carbs with some protein. i.e switch your fried rice dinner with oven roasted chicken( YUM YUM).
cutting down on carbs will reduce that bloated feeling you might have sometimes.
In Conclusion, 1)do some exercise you like,2) cut down on some simple carbs, 3) don’t get caught in the media trying to sell you that anorexic look. 5′11′ at 150lbs is SEXY!

I am interested in detoxing and beginning to eat better. I have read a lot about the Lemonade Diet. Sometimes this is called the Master Cleanse, but I always have called it the Lemonade Diet.

It seems safe. You start the Diet by making the Lemonade out of Lemons, Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper. You don’t eat or drink anything else except water while doing the Lemonade Diet and supposedly you loose lots of fat and eliminate toxins that are stored up in your body.

I understand lots of people get scared of the Lemonade Diet because it is an unknown, alternative idea but I want to know if there are any factual pros or cons to doing it. Drinking the Lemonade seems to give you calories and nutrients (rich, organic lemons and high grade sugar) and so it would seem the diet is like an internal IV system.

Thanks for your help.

The Lemonade Diet is not a FAD. A fad generally has no basis and is followed blindly. Yes it is called the Master Cleanse, or Master Cleanser, The Maple Syrup Diet, They Cayenne Pepper Diet and the Beyonce Diet - Because she purportedly has done the cleanse (amongst other celebrities). This is perhaps why some will quickly dismiss The Lemonade Diet as fad or scam.

It amazes me how people, even so called experts will dismiss the benefits of this great diet, cleanse, lifestyle, fast or what ever you call it. The Lemonade Diet has very little bad commentary online. Check this site for hundreds of happy users. http://themastercleanse.org/the-lemonade-diet - There are also directions and other great information there. If ever there are problems it is almost always due to existing, extreme physical disease that no cleanse could help, or may even exasperate. This is why you should always do due diligences when trying something, especially when it comes to your health.

The Lemonade diet, shouldn’t be abused by doing it too frequently, or for too long, or not taking enough nourishment from the Lemonade. When you take the amounts suggested, it seems clear that there is enough calories and nutrients in the 3 main ingredients to supply your body for each day, while resting digestion. It also makes sense that your body will eliminate toxins that are stored in your body.

Call it what you will, the Lemonade Diet does produce weight loss effectively, and having done it 8 times I can tell you that i feel great doing it and after it. You won’t put all the weigh back on if you don’t start eating poorly. And of course you should move towards having a balanced diet as suggested by other answers. But the Lemonade Diet can provide a nice boost in the direction towards a healthy lifestyle. As a detox, it is less known how effective the cleanse is. But know this - animal instinctively fast when they are sick.

Do your research. Google The Master Cleanse, or The Lemonade Diet. Go to websites like http://themastercleanse.org and Groups on Facebook. See how many are satisfied. Remember that many people dismiss what they don’t understand. Fear controls most people and prevents them from seeing alternative solutions until much later when they conclude that they agreed all along.

Good luck with your choice to change your eating habits and use any diet, cleanse or fast wisely.

huge weight loss results ?

Posted by: admin | Comments (6)

ok, so i had started working out again after not working out in a while. you know how college is, you starting getting self conscious about the gut youre developing and the lower back fat. that was me, so i started going to the stair master and doing 25 minutes everyday, in just three days it seems like i am back to my frail skinny body. is that weird, i also started eating only three meals throught the day and oatmeal in the morning and at night. is that weird, i should have probably posted a picture, but its just crazy how much ive lost.

Haha makes sense, if you’ve stuck to your diet and been working out like hardcorely.

Master Cleanse for Weight Loss?

Posted by: admin | Comments (1)

I am 20 years old, 5′3” and about 137 lbs. I would like to do the master cleanse… anyone have any experience with it? I want to do it for 10 days and after that start eating healthier aka more raw foods, high protein and fiber, low calorie/carbs etc. I just need to lose weight fast for an event so I thought Master Cleanse might jump-start my diet. If you haven’t tried it and don’t know anyone who has then please don’t answer this.

I did several days and felt fantastic at the end
I lost weight and my skin looked so much better

it is really really really really hard for the first few days and I hated the taste - I also hated the smell

my chronic sinus problems / blocked nose - disappeared as well and I stopped all medication for this

First off, I’m not at all interested in becoming thin, I much prefer a womanly, curvy figure for myself (not that thin isn’t beautiful too) so when I am working out, I’m not looking to shed fat, I am looking to tighten and tone and make my curves appear more beautiful, as opposed to blubbery, you know? I don’t intend to lose the curves!

I am looking to find out how to tone up my stomach, arms and thighs (mostly inner thighs) without sliming them down too much, if at all. My biggest actual worry is that my breast size and backside are going to decrease dramatically and they give me most of my more womanly shape. I like the hourglass body type better than a catwalk models.

I know there’s lunges, etc, but I don’t know too much about it, e.g. How often to do them and if they are effective. Booking time with a personal trainer is too costly for me as I’m a student so I’m hoping for some good answers :)

In my home gym we have a treadmil, a cross trainer and a cheaper stair master that I don’t think would be too great, yet not useless. We also have a skipping rope and some workout DVDS (I fear the DVDS are for weight loss though)

I eat a pretty good diet, lots of veg (not much fruit though) and chicken, meat, etc. I don’t eat fish as the taste revolts me and I drink lots of water. Aside from a vanilla coke on weekdays and pizza on a friday night, I eat pretty well and feel my current body shape is the one I was intended to have. Just wanna perfect it.

Can anyone suggest anything?

forgive thsi answer but the question was about to run out of time

weight loss for the legs.?

Posted by: admin | Comments (3)

How can you reduce the size of your legs. I have excessive fat around/the inner part of the knee and behind the knee-how can this fat be eliminated? Presently, my caloric intake is 1500-as per my physician. I do spin aerobics/cycling 2-3 times per week. In addition, is work out for 30 minutes on each of the following:stair master, treadmill and the cross country skier. I see a difference in my overall body, but not on the inner thigh, around the knee area

The rule for losing weight is burning more calories than those you eat… Now, you already workout, 30 mins? The treadmill and cycle are the best for this… you need to monitor your heartbeats to make sure you are on the fat burning range… usually, on the treadmill that would be a pace where you can still keep a conversation. Faster… you will lose muscle, less, you are doing nothing… the ideal heartbeats for you? Substract your age from 180.

There’s no way of burning fat specifically from here or there, when you work out fat is burned from all around the body where fat is present, some areas are a little stubborn though.

You need to eat your caloric requirment (basal, those you need for surviving) plus those you burn working out… and you’ll see results.

Never skip a meal, don’t eat carbs after 6 pm, avoid simple chain carbohidrates. (sugar, honey, candies, chocolate, white flours etc.)
Be patient

Hi, I am 5′10 220 lbs and would like to jump start an effective weight loss regimine by doing the Master Cleanse. I want to do it for only 7 days so has anyone lost any weight by doing the master cleanse for a week to 10 days? DO TELL =)

I have done the master cleanse several times. The average weight loss is a pound a day. But a find that in the beginning, your body holds on to the weight for dear life and then the pounds fall off in the second week. You can still lose some weight in 7 days assuming that you stick to it. Just remember to take the laxative tea. It cleans your body help and will have you running to the toilet. The master cleanse is definitely great for a jump start in weight loss.
