i need 2 lose weight dieting and exercise is not helping so starving myself is the only thing that probably can help..how long does it take to lose weight if i starve myself? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

Serious answer. DON’T DO IT. It is not worth it. My daughter is anorexic because she stopped eating. She now can not start eating again! She has been to the Emergency room more times than I can count. She has had to have IV’s on a regular basis to rehydrate because her body won’t hold fluids. She currently has the shingles because her immune system is so weak. Her friend got the chicken pox and she had already had them, but because her immune system is so bad, she now has the shingles.

She is not allowed to exercise at all because she could go into a coma and die. She bruises easily and looks like death. If she can not get herself back to eating more normally, she will die. Quitting eating messes with your brain and eventually you will not be able to control it. It will control you! Her body is shutting down and she is dying. Don’t do this to yourself.

How can you lose weight fast and healthy?

I have tried to lose weight before a few times, and it never works for me like at all. I don’t know what to do, but I want to lose weight fast, and healthy. I wanna lose like a lot of weight in a few months because I am fat and I am impatient.Does anyone have ideas or tips?

Studies prove that people who lose weight quickly are more likely to gain it back.

It shocks your body, and it can screw up your metabolism permanently to make gaining weight easier and losing weight harder… giving you something to struggle with all of your life.

If you make "fast" a more important factor than "permanent," you are going to screw yourself badly.

Losing weight is more of a mental battle than a physical one. If you really want to be successful, you have to battle your impatience before you can change your habits.

And fact is, the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your habits— forever. To learn to make better choices about exercising and eating healthier. Because if you ever change back to your old habits, your cells will gladly gain all that weight back.

So what does it matter how long it takes? As long as you change your lifestyle to healthier habits, you will take it off and keep it off.

How do i lose weight around my thighs and bottom. OR How do i stop all of my weight going to my thighs and bottom, but not stomach? Please help, thank you.

Everyone has a problem spot. It can be around the stomach, thighs, arms or chest. No matter where your trouble spot is, the solution is exactly the same. You need to eat less and exercise more. The reason why there’s only one solution for all of these problems is because it’s impossible to tell your body where to burn the excess fat from.

When you eat too many calories, your body stores the excess energy as fat in different areas around the body. To lose this fat, you need to create a calorie deficit (eat less than you burn) to force your body to start burning that fat for energy. There is absolutely no way to control where your body goes to find this extra fat.

The larger your calorie deficit (a bigger calorie deficit means a bigger difference between what you eat and what you burn) the faster your body will burn excess fat and the quicker your body fat percentage will start to decrease. You can increase your calorie deficit by cutting your daily intake and exercising more. Sit ups will do nothing to target the fat around your abs just like squats will do nothing to target the fat around your thighs. I just started a diet that consists of low salt food, and no drinks except water. I am running every day, and staying active. Does anyone think this is a good way to lose 6 pounds in about a month? If not does anyone have any suggestions?

if you keep that up you can loose more than just 6 pounds. just make sure you add alot of fruits in your diet and veggies

I weigh 137 pounds and I really want to lose some weight, because I’m extremely embarrassed to go swimming. I know there’s really no "fast" way to lose weight, but what can I do to lose weight? I always drink water instead of sugary drinks, and I do 100 sit-ups and ballet squats before I go to bed every night. Any other important tips and exercises I can do for great results? Oh and I want to lose fat on my stomach, hips, and I want to tone my legs.

you should eat at least 3-4 healthy meals a day.

drink a lot of water, it flushes you out. also, if you think you’re hungry even right after you’ve just eaten, it is because you’re thirsty.

eat regularly. don’t starve yourself, because once you start eating again, you’ll gain everything back, trust me.

eat lots of fruits and veggies.if you want to eat bread, make sure it’s whole grain. white bread is pretty fattening.

if you’re not a vegetarian, you can also eat lean meats, like fish, turkey and chicken breast. to know how much meat you should eat in a day, make your hand into a fist. the size of the back of your hand is how much meat you should eat in a day. eggs are also a good food when trying to lose weight.

skip out on sweets, candy, sugary foods, chips, fried foods, ice cream, cake, and cookies. if you want something sweet, like for dessert, try berries, raisins or another type of dried fruit. if that doesn’t quench your sweet tooth, try Weight Watchers or Smart Ones desserts.

if you feel hungry, but don’t want to over eat, chew gum. it’ll keep your mouth busy until it’s time to eat again.

cut out ALL soda! if you stop drinking soda, it helps you out A LOT!

also, it’s very important to keep a food journal. you write down what you eat that day, and see how much you’re REALLY eating. and if you go out of line, you can catch it before you make the same mistake the next day.

and don’t forget to exercise! try walking, jogging, jump rope, dancing, hula hooping, crunches and/or sit-ups, bike riding and swimming. try exercising for 30 minutes a day, and as the weeks go by, build up your time by about 10 minutes each week.

i have been trying to lose weight for a very long time i have the type of family where i have no say in what food i have to eat or any freedom to exercise I do believe im in trouble at about 200+ lbs. im a bit worried about my health so i really need help

I’m the same age and I have the same situation with my family. If you can’t at least control what types of foods you eat, then eat smaller portions. Plus, if you’re that obese, you should definitely call it to your parents’ attention. It may be embarrassing, but you need to let your parents know what you’re feeling, and you could be in serious trouble later on in life.

Eat smaller meals but more throughout the day. It will be really hard to do at first, but it will keep your metabolic rates at a steadier level, and you will burn more calories. Your stomach will shrink after awhile because it is stretched out right now, and you will feel less hungry.

With exercising, don’t think of it as just walking or running. There are other ways to exercise. You can do exercises while holding books in your room rather than weights and other stuff like that. You can even jog in place in your room, however silly that may make you feel ;). By gaining more muscle, even just a little bit all around, will help you burn more calories throughout the day.
Maybe even ask your parents to do an activity with you, or asking parents for a pass to the gym can help. 15 year-olds are allowed to utilize cardio equipment at the gyms.

Another necessity is to drink more water. Don’t drink water while you’re eating, though, or you’ll just feel hungrier. Drink water throughout the day and don’t just drink a bottle all at once. I have noticed that sometimes when I think I’m hungry, I’m actually just thirsty.

You also need to keep your thoughts in the right direction. It’s all about willpower and control.

Little things like buying fruits and vegetables for you to eat or snack on will really make the difference, and it can be cheaper for your parents too. The little things are what count!

Bottom line is, if you’re really worried, you need to let your parents know. If you’re following these habits, then most likely your parents are unhealthy too. It seems there needs to be some change.

I follow these guidelines and I’m at a healthy weight. Don’t feel bad, it’s just something you have to work on. By reducing your caloric intake, you WILL lose weight. :) You may feel tired from exercising at first, but you have to continue because in a few days of exhaustion you will feel more rested and even get better sleep at night. You will feel like you have a lot of energy!
